What does it do to you, if you are focused only on Time and Punctuality in life? It has its merits, I’m sure, but what does it do to the 'Self'? Self enquiry has no time limit but it requires time. Time given to work and business and what we think are life's essentials, takes away moments from introspection.
In this work, I have been inspired by Flandrin's seated man. Flandrin’s famous seated man has been described as 'self absorbed', 'passive' and 'alienated'. The figure's pose lends to the harmony that I wanted to create with the 3 juxtaposing circular forms - The Figure, Time and the Wheel of Industry.
